This year with everything that had happened prior to Thanksgiving with Matt's mom passing away we knew things would be different when we went to Fort Wayne, but we also did some things different while we were in Terre Haute. We added another Thanksgiving lunch with my dad's side of the family, which Matt and I had never been to together, to our list of stops this year since we were in the Terre Haute area Thanksgiving morning and afternoon. This made our Thanksgiving meal count four. We had one the week before Thanksgiving and three the week of Thanksgiving, but none of them were on the same day. We got to Fort Wayne on Thanksgiving evening and shared a McDonald's drive-thru dinner with Matt's dad and brother. Then it was time to get ready for Black Friday. This year we took Gabe with us at 4:30 in the morning. He did very well and we got the majority of our Christmas shopping done. Then it was back to the house for a nap before we went to Matt's aunt's house for Thanksgiving dinner and to celebrate Matt's cousin's 12th birthday.
For some reason we did not take pictures at any of the other Thanksgiving meals, but we did take some while we were in Fort Wayne.
Matt enjoying his Grandma Landin's chocolate pie.

The Landin cousins helping blow out bithday candles.

Gabe giving Matt a back massage with the electric massager.

Gabe taking over the remote control.
Although it was a busy few days and more time away from home it was nice to have time with family and to have to reflect on the things we are thankful for.
