Lots To Tell

Well over this past week I have had a few new experiences as a mom. First was what happened last Wednesday night. After the kids and I had met my family for dinner after church we came home and Gabe had to use the potty so he went and as usual I gave him his money for going (2 pennies). He was playing with them so I just let him be for a while until he said something about his money. I asked him where is money was and he said in his mouth. I checked and there was nothing there so I proceeded to look for the pennies and found one, not two. He then told Matt on the phone that he had drank the penny. I didn't know what to do at this point so we called the doctor and they wanted us to take him for an X-ray, but he was acting fine so we waited and checked his poo for pennies. Luck for me, he passed it the second time he went (about 14 hours after he "drank" it). I did not think to take pictures, but I do still have the penny. I am hoping that I do not have this experience again, but if I do at least I will know how to handle it.
The next thing I experienced for the first time was the Walk for Babies this past weekend. I had never been to the event before and I was not actually walking so I was not sure what to expect. I went to pass out water for my MOPS group. I went by myself and did not have a chance to meet up with the other MOPS mom as she was walking on a team. I was amazed at the number of people who were there to walk and saddened by the stories of the people effected by preemies. I am so very thankful that I have had two healthy babies. I hope after experiencing this event that I can be a part of it, either by walking or by volunteering my time to pass out water to those who are walking.

This is just a picture of the people leaving the stadium on the Walk for Babies. It does not show the entire group of people walking, but it does give you an idea of the number of people involved.
