2 Weekends, 1 Post

Since I haven't posted in a while I figured I would double up by giving you the events that we have had the past two weekends in this one post. I will start with the first weekend which was the weekend of October 16th, 17th, and 18th. That weekend Matt was doing InterVarsity's Southern Indiana Fall Conference in Washington, IN and since we had the opportunity and it is usually a very relaxing weekend we decided to make it a family affair. Gabe helped Matt with testing sound equipment for a while and then the kids and I head back to the cabin for a little rest. Although we did not get to spend as much time together as we usually do it was a very restful weekend which is just what we needed. Here are a few pictures I took while we were there.

Gabe showing Beka the pumpking we "I" carved Saturday night. He tells me it is his picture on the pumpkin.

Beka playing in the leaves for the first time. I'm amazed that she didn't even try to eat one that day.

Gabe walking in the leaves. I have a similar picture from last year. It's amazing how much he has changed.

Now for this past weekend. Well Friday Matt had his last football game of the season. Yes, he is officially done other than editing video. We also had Matt's dad visiting this weekend so he got the joy of witnessing the football team's loss. Then on Saturday we had our annual Fall chili party at our house. I did not take one picture the whole evening. I guess since I was trying to get stuff done and then spending time with friends and family I forgot to get the camera out. We did have a good time other than Matt started getting sick during the party. We guess it was some form of flu, but we don't know for sure. He is better now and he only gave the achy part to me. Finally on Sunday I took the kids to Pumpkin Works with my family while Matt took it easy recovering from the sickness. We had a good time going on a horse and buggy ride, we all went at the same time which made it even more interesting. Gabe played in some of the kiddie mazes and helped my dad launch some little pumpkins at targets in the field. I did take a few pictures of us doing that so I will share those then I will try to post again another day.
