Over the past month we have had many new experiences. We have had a new baby girl which is a the first new experience. Many of our new experiences have to due with this special little girl. We have had the pleasure of dealing with jaundice for the first week of her life. Now we have are dealing with thrush and weight loss. Both of which have made for a very fussy baby. Who knew that such a small little person could teach you so much.
We also had a new experience with Gabe. In the midst of the snow storm last Tuesday Gabe started having breathing problems and we ended up taking him to the ER at about 11 o'clock at night in his PJ's although he acted like he felt fine he could not catch his breath even with treatments. After three hours in the ER, three more treatments, some other medicines, and a chest X-ray he was sent home with a, Upper Respitory Infection with wheezing. He has been on two oral meds as well as breathing treatments. Although the treatments and meds are not something new the trip to the ER was a first.
We have learned a lot through these new experiences and I'm sure we will continue to learn more as we travel this road called parenthood.
