For Christmas Matt (and the kids) got me a very nice trip to the Spa 2000 in Indianapolis and Matt planned for us to go to dinner and stay at the Omni hotel downtown overnight. Needless to say, I was speechless Christmas morning, but I was very excited about having a day to relax and then an evening to spend with my husband.
So on January 9th Matt and I dropped the kids off at my parent's house and headed to Indianapolis where I spent four hours at the spa getting a massage, manicure, pedicure, and a few other spa treatments. It was a very nice day to say the least. I told Matt when I was done that I could get used things like that, which I'm not sure is a good thing. I did not think to take any pictures of the spa, but it was very nice.
After my spa day, Matt took me to a nice dinner at Shula's Steakhouse in downtown Indy. Then we walked back to the hotel and we found that it was very noisy at the bar across the street from our room so we got moved to a new room and to our surprise it was a suite. Then Matt took me for dessert at Harry and Lizzi's. We actually thought to have the waitress take our picture with Matt's phone even though we had already changed out of our nice clothes that we had worn for dinner. Yeah, I forgot to tell you that I also got to go shopping and find a nice dress to wear to dinner.
After dessert, it was back to the hotel for a restful night's sleep.
On Sunday. Matt and I went to lunch at the Spaghetti Factory and walked around the mall before heading to Plainfield for some shopping before heading back to pick up the kids.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Thanks Matt for this wonderful weekend. It was just what I needed!
